Thyroid - Thyroflex Clinical Trial
We believe that many people have subclinical hypothyroid. This happens when your blood tests are normal but your thyroid function is not. People who have this condition have increased health risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, arthritis and inflammation, and neurological problems such as Parkinson's or Alzheimer's disease. We believe that the majority of adults over the age of 35 suffer from this condition. It is a silent epidemic that is driving up health risk and health cost.
This clinical outcome trial is to demonstrate that physiologic measurements of thyroid function (symptoms, resting metabolic rate, basal temperature and reflexes) are better indicators of patient status than serum (blood) measurements of thyroid hormones. It usually takes 3-4 months to arrive at a correct dose and stabilize.
